I found the original booklet for the Olympic Games in a corner of the library. Designed by Lance Wayman, they seem to be a recent forerunner of the icons culture first popularized by personal computers and more recently by emoticons. Wyman also designed around the same time and based on the same principles a unique figure for each metro station in Mexico City. I think this is the only one which such visuals.
