Botticelli — Gemälde Galerie 314/365

In a city with so many cool museums ot is hard to decide which one would you take with you if you go to an isolated island. Perhaps mine is the Pinakothek, a museum which is as large as discrete. Is there any other place in the world were you can be alone with a dozen of Rembrandts? Where you can have Caravaggios and Raffaels and Botticellis just for you, without hordes of tourists taking pics? The collection is outstanding and this is one of the very rare exceptions of places in Berlin which hasn’t become more crowded over the years. If everybody’s darling in Berlin is Nefertiti, mine is this girl by Botticelli: it’s a contemporary piece produced more than 500 years ago. And still, she looks so gorgeous and fresh...
