The presence of History — Nordbahnhof 310/365

History is present everywhere al the time in Berlin. Take for instance this light train station: not only the letters are Gothic, the standard font during the 19th Century, and the tiles are over 100 years old, but the decoration is a ser of photos showing how the station looked like during the decades of the Berlin Wall, as this one in particular was shut down and their entries blocked with concrete. While Americans think mostly of moving forward, Germans take their historical footprint with them—two very different approaches.
