Carlos Slim made it, again, to the summit of the ranked richest men in the world.
Being his biggest fan, Slim has the biggest collection in the world of objects related to Khalil Gibran. Gibran was a poet, thinker and artist from Lebanon, and allegedly he is the third poet who has sold more than anybody else. He became extremely popular in the 1960s, even John Lennon and David Bowie became 'inspired' by him.
And even John F. Kennedy! For his first speech as a President he paraphrased a quotation of Gibran's book The New Frontier: "Are you a politician asking what your country can do for you or a zealous one asking what can you do for your country?". Kennedy said: "Ask not what your country can do for you -- ask what you can do for your country".
I hope that Slim will not only collect Gibran's stuff, but also reflect about his sayings.
